General Details:
MIPATEX (FINE) is a white, extra fine grained mineral powder for leveling of walls and ceilings on plasters, concrete and other cement based surfaces. It gives smooth surfaces ready to be coated with various kinds of paints. It is suitable for exterior and interior use. Its composition is mainly based on white cement, coarse limestone fillers and polymeric powder, which enhances its flexibility and endurance. The product is classified according to EN 998-1.
Instructions Of Use:
Surfaces of application must be sound and clean, free from oil, chemicals, dust and other loose materials. Weak and absorptive substrates should be primed with a polymeric stabilizing solution. Dry and warm surfaces must be pre-wetted with clean water.The powder is mixed in clean water under continuous stirring until a uniformed mixture with the desired thickness is obtained. The mortar becomes ready to use after 5 minutes. It is spread and leveled with a steel trowel or spatula in one, two or more layers. Each new layer follows after the previous has dried out. The drying time always depends on the temperature of the environment. Coverage depends basically on the roughness of the surface. From practical experience, it is estimated on an average of 0.8-1 kg for 1 mm coat thickness for 1m² of surface.
